Bobby Flay Honors Anne Burrell After Her Sudden Demise at 55
Chef Bobby Flay is remembering the late Anne Burrell.
Flay, 60, took to his Instagram Tales on Wednesday, June 18, and shared an image of the Worst Cooks in America cohost smiling as she held two fluffy cats.
“Worst Cooks in America was the funnest present on TV,” wrote Flay, who appeared as a choose and mentor on the Meals Community sequence. “All your co-hosts (me included) have been simply alongside for the Anne Burrell journey.”
He added: “The best present I received from AB was turning me on to a world of Maine Coon Cats (together with Nacho) … a present I’ll have ceaselessly. #unforgettable.”

Information broke on Tuesday, June 17, that Burrell had died on the age of 55. Her husband, Stuart Claxton, reportedly found his spouse mendacity unresponsive on the ground of the lavatory bathe of their Brooklyn, New York, house that morning.
TMZ reported on Wednesday that Burrell was “unconscious” when Claxton noticed her within the bathe. He known as 911 to get assist. Police confirmed to Us Weekly that they have been alerted to the scene at “roughly 7:50 a.m.”

“Anne was a beloved spouse, sister, daughter, stepmother, and buddy — her smile lit up each room she entered,” Burrell’s household instructed Us in a press release on the time. “Anne’s gentle radiated far past these she knew, touching thousands and thousands the world over. Although she is now not with us, her heat, spirit, and boundless love stay everlasting.”
In a press release Wednesday, a rep for the New York Metropolis Fireplace Division stated a 911 caller had claimed that Burrell went into “cardiac arrest” and was “DOA [dead upon arrival].”
The NYPD has introduced that an investigation is underway, with the reason for loss of life pending.
Burrell married Claxton in October 2021. Apart from her husband, she is survived by his son, Javier, in addition to her mom, Marlene, and sister, Jane.
Since her passing, she has acquired an outpouring of tributes from her followers and fellow TV cooks.
“I can’t fairly consider it — such a powerful, vibrant, fearless lady, so lively and love, might be gone so quickly,” Rachael Ray, a bridesmaid at Burrell’s marriage ceremony, stated in a press release Wednesday. “Anne was a rockstar! I got here to know her nicely by means of a number of seasons of Worst Cooks on Meals Community, and he or she turned a lot greater than a colleague.”
She added: “I’ll miss her friendship deeply. Everybody whose life she touched will miss her. Sending like to Stuart and everybody who knew and cherished Anne. We’ve misplaced somebody really particular.”
