Bobby Flay Honors Anne Burrell After Her Sudden Demise at 55
Chef Bobby Flay is remembering the late Anne Burrell.
Flay, 60, took to his Instagram Tales on Wednesday, June 18, and shared an image of the Worst Cooks in America cohost smiling as she held two fluffy cats.
“Worst Cooks in America was the funnest present on TV,” wrote Flay, who appeared as a choose and mentor on the Meals Community sequence. “All your co-hosts (me included) have been simply alongside for the Anne Burrell journey.”
He added: “The best present I received from AB was turning me on to a world of Maine Coon Cats (together with Nacho) … a present I’ll have ceaselessly. #unforgettable.”
Information broke on Tuesday, June 17, that Burrell had died on the age of 55. Her husband, Stuart Claxton, reportedly found his spouse mendacity unresponsive on the ground of the lavatory bathe of their Brooklyn, New York, house that morning.

In a press release Wednesday, a rep for the New York Metropolis Fireplace Division stated a 911 caller had claimed that Burrell went into “cardiac arrest” and was “DOA [dead upon arrival].”
The NYPD has introduced that an investigation is underway, with the reason for loss of life pending.
Burrell married Claxton in October 2021. Apart from her husband, she is survived by his son, Javier, in addition to her mom, Marlene, and sister, Jane.
Since her passing, she has acquired an outpouring of tributes from her followers and fellow TV cooks.
