Claire’s Life: Receiving the Inaugural Style Award at Camille Rose Pure’s Beauté Noire Gala with Janell Stephens, Yandy Smith, Monyetta Shaw, and Derek J
Final night time, on Juneteenth, I had the great honor of receiving the inaugural Style Award on the Beauté Noire Dandy Dinner & Gala introduced by Janell Stephens of Camille Rose Naturals.


The second was not solely a celebration of private achievement, however a strong affirmation of the wonder, brilliance, and resilience of our group. As I stood on that stage, I mirrored on how far I’ve come—from Stone Mountain, Georgia to the Met Gala carpet—and the way religion, consistency, and tradition proceed to information my journey in trend.


The night was a real celebration of Black excellence. The ballroom radiated with daring type, sharp tailoring, and a deep sense of satisfaction. Visionary Janell Stephens, founding father of Camille Rose, curated a surprising expertise full of flowers, trend, and fabulous vitality.

Honorees included trailblazers throughout magnificence, trend, and entrepreneurship—every of us celebrated for our contributions to creating house and legacy.




I’m extremely grateful to Janell and her group for recognizing my work and for constructing platforms that honor and elevate our tales.
The room was full of acquainted faces and associates who proceed to encourage and uplift. Yandy Smith lit up the night time in a yellow Oyemwen pantsuit, Monyetta Shaw was class personified in black satin Dolce & Gabbana, and the incomparable Derek J and Miss Lawence introduced their signature aptitude to the celebration. Different attendees included my fellow honoree Terri J. Vaughn, Nicci Gilbert, vlogger Beautiful Ti, Producer Princess, and make-up artist Latasha Wright.






From the purple carpet interviews to the electrical dance ground moments, the vitality was each celebratory and historic. It was a reminder that our tradition drives the narrative—and our presence is the ability.



To be acknowledged amongst such brilliance, on a day as vital as Juneteenth, is one thing I’ll always remember. This one’s for the dreamers, the disruptors, and the designers of tomorrow. Hold going. Hold shining. Hold lifting as we climb.
