Manhunt launched after 7 youngsters wounded in Chicago drive-by taking pictures

A manhunt has been launched after seven youngsters have been wounded in a drive-by taking pictures within the early hours of Saturday morning, police in Chicago mentioned.

“An unknown automobile drove by, and started firing pictures on the crowd hanging a number of victims,” as officers have been “making an attempt to disperse a big gathering of individuals,” within the metropolis’s southeastern sixth District, the Chicago Police Division mentioned in a press release.

Three of the victims have been 17-years-old, three of them 18 and one 19. All suffered accidents to their legs, two have been struck within the arm, one within the again and one within the buttocks, the assertion mentioned, including that they have been taken to native hospitals.

All have been listed as being in “honest situation” other than one who was hit within the leg and the chest, whose situation was listed as “critical.”

“The automobile instantly fled the scene,” the assertion mentioned. “No officers have been injured.”

It added that nobody was in custody and detectives have been “investigating the circumstances involving the incident.”
