Sly Stone — the frontman for the legendary band Sly and The Household Stone — died Monday in Los Angeles, TMZ has discovered.

Stone’s household launched a press release to TMZ … “It’s with profound disappointment that we announce the passing of our beloved dad, Sly Stone of Sly and the Household Stone.
