Santos shares surge over 15% after $18.7 bil takeover bid

Shares of Santos surged as a lot as 15.23% Monday, after it acquired a non-binding takeover supply of $18.72 billion by an Abu Dhabi’s Nationwide Oil Firm-led group.

The transfer marks the largest intraday bounce within the Australian oil and fuel producer’s shares since April 2020, LSEG information exhibits.
