Smoke seen from aircraft engine after takeoff from Las Vegas

An American Airways flight returned to Harry Reid Worldwide Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada shortly after takeoff after smoke was reported from its left engine.

The airline mentioned that the upkeep staff discovered no proof of a hearth within the engine, however the plane has been taken out of service.
