Ukrainian hackers declare to have destroyed servers of Russian drone maker

Ukrainian hacktivist group BO Group has claimed to have hacked into the community of Russian drone maker Gaskar Group and disrupted its operations.

In a put up on its Telegram channel, BO Group introduced the breach, saying it carried out the assault together with the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance, one other hacktivist group that operates in Ukraine, in addition to Ukraine’s navy intelligence. 

The three teams, based on a machine translation of the announcement, “carried out large-scale work to grab your complete community and server infrastructure of the Gaskar Group, gather invaluable details about present and promising [unmanned aerial vehicles], adopted by the destruction of knowledge and the disabling of this infrastructure.”

BO Group stated that through the cyberattack it destroyed greater than 250 techniques, together with 46 digital servers and greater than 200 workstations, in addition to wiping 47 terabytes of firm information and 10 terabytes of backups. The hacktivists added that they stole the non-public information of Gaskar Group workers, together with their dwelling addresses and household data, through the breach.

Each Ukraine and Russian troopers have extensively used drones because the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Gaskar Group reportedly provides drones to the Russian navy.
